President Pervez Musharraf flies to Dubai

KARACHI: Private airliner carrying former President Pervez Musharraf flew to Dubai from Karachi in Friday’s wee hours after the country’s top court struck off his name from exit control list on health grounds.

President Musharraf departed from Karachi airport on board a private flight EK611 along with his doctor. The flight was scheduled at 3:55am tonight. However, the flight was delayed by ten minutes and took off to Dubai at 4:10am.

President Musharraf's lawyer Mr. Farogh Naseem said, “The government had adopted the stance that Musharraf cannot be allowed to travel abroad since the Supreme Court had ruled against it.
