Now here is the video highlights of former President Musharraf’s interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer. A news right after the interview was already posted yesterday and can be found HERE.
My Comments:
Wolf Blitzer, like other CNN’s talk show hosts, also has a reputation of putting tough and difficult questions to his guests but guest today, nonetheless, is our President Musharraf also known for meeting squarely with difficult questions from media and somewhat disarming them with his simple and honest answers.
I for one have never seen any such well known and famous personality anywhere in the world (and if you know then let me know too) who is truly a known victim of utterly false propaganda and character assassination due to the collusion among some corrupt Pakistani media and Pakistani politicians and yet- at the same time- is so graceful and at such ease in facing media.
Former President Pervez Musharraf seems to be from a rare breed of those fine and world-class political leaders who revive their troubled nations in the darkest times and give them a direction to move on, i.e. a direction to the brighter future . With their speeches, they inspire perseverance among the common people.
President Musharraf too has touched a chord with Pakistan’s downtrodden and voiceless. Something that no other Pakistani leader, political or not, after Jinnah has ever been able to touch.
Welcome to the history in the making!!
